Data Sources, Methods & Disclaimer

FactsFigs.com builds its data stories in our own Visual Story Editor, working from publicly available data to structure, visualize, and present statistical insights. We surface and attribute figures and cite the sources behind them — we do not independently verify, certify, or "fact-check" data provided by third-party sources or by creators.

Source standards

We work from publicly accessible websites, reports, research publications, and open data sources, using them strictly to identify statistical values, trends, and numerical indicators. Those figures are then assembled into a visual in our own editor. We cite these sources so readers can check the figures themselves; FactsFigs does not independently verify or certify third-party data.

No copied source content

We do not copy or reproduce original text content, full datasets, tables, charts, images, graphics, or proprietary material from third-party sources.

Partial statistical data

Only partial, non-exhaustive statistical data points are extracted for analysis and then independently restructured, interpreted, and explained.

Original visuals

Every visualization is built in our own Visual Story Editor — the chart engine, layouts, and styling are custom-designed and coded by our team for the FactsFigs platform.

Attribution

Every article includes a Data Reference or Sources section with links to websites, reports, or datasets that informed our analysis.

A note on AI

We do use AI as an assistant — to help gather and tidy source data, suggest a starting layout, prepare supporting assets, and speed up routine drafting work. It is a tool that helps us work faster, not a system that produces our visuals or data stories on its own.

The visuals themselves are created in our own Visual Story Editor, with a person choosing the data, the chart type, the framing, and the wording, and reviewing the result before anything is published or downloaded.

Educational disclaimer

While we strive for accuracy, data may change over time as sources update their reporting. FactsFigs.com does not guarantee absolute completeness or real-time accuracy and should not be treated as a substitute for primary research, official statistical publications, or professional advice.

By using this website, you acknowledge that all content is provided for informational and educational purposes only. FactsFigs.com assumes no liability for decisions made based on the information presented on this site.

Who is responsible for what. FactsFigs hosts two kinds of content. Content that FactsFigs researches and publishes itself is our own editorial responsibility. Content created by independent creators is hosted — the creator is responsible for the accuracy of their data and claims, and we do not verify, certify, or fact-check it. Our review of creator submissions covers design quality, formatting, guideline compliance, and originality, and checks that sources are cited — not that they are correct. See the Content Policy and Using FactsFigs Visuals.
