Partnerships

Sponsor a data story.

If you hold a dataset worth seeing, or a question you think the numbers can answer, we will do the work: find and check the sources, build the charts and maps, and write the story.

How it works

  1. 1. You bring the subject. A dataset you hold, a public one you want examined, or simply a question. If the data is yours, we will say so on the page.
  2. 2. We scope it. What the data can actually support, what it cannot, what shape the story takes, and what it costs.
  3. 3. We make it. Research, visuals and writing by our own creators, reviewed by an editor like anything else we publish.
  4. 4. It publishes, labelled. Clearly marked as sponsored, with your name on it and ours.

Sponsorship buys the work, not the conclusion

This is the part worth reading before you write to us. We hold a sponsored story to the same sourcing standard as everything else: every figure traceable to a named, public, already-published source. If the data does not say what you hoped, the story says what the data says — and we would rather find that out at the scoping stage than after you have paid. See the Content Policy.

Tell us about it

No budget needed yet — we will scope it with you first.

What the subject is, and whether you hold the data or want us to find it.

We use what you send here to answer your enquiry and nothing else. See the Privacy Policy.
